History

Brunei Darussalam Road Safety Council has been established since 17th November 1977.

The purpose of its establishment is to maintain a highest level of road safety for Brunei Darussalam with the recognition that education plays a key part in maintaining these high standards of safety.

The Council has undergone continuous training to be kept informed of new and improved safety standards, legislative changes and international best practices to reduce the incidence of death and serious injuries.

Since its establishment, the Council and Committee activities are now much more organized, recognising the need for each individual authority and organisation to understand and respect the role each one has to play.

The Council has brought about changes that have seen the number of people killed on our roads each year to reduce.
